My husband, my daughter, and I all got sick with a pretty rough cold, so it has been a sleepy and snotty week at our house.  On this special sick edition of Friday Favorites, here are some of the things that are helping me make it through the week:

Growing up, my mom was always a big advocate for the healing properties of Vitamin C (possibly because she grew up in an orange grove?).  Whenever I don’t feel my best, I fix myself a glass of Emergen-C fizzy orange drink.  I don’t know if it works or not, but it tastes good and can’t hurt.

Green Tea with Acai Berries

Warm green tea feels so good on a sore throat, especially if you add some local honey.  Green tea with Acai berries is my favorite.  It is lightly caffeinated, which helps with the energy-zapping effects of a cold.

On Guard Essential Oil

Essential oils are one of those things I haven’t bought into 100%, but this one smells really nice and allegedly helps with immune support, so I’ve been blasting it in the diffuser since our family started sniffling.  If nothing else, the house smells wonderful.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

This week, I picked up some pre-made soup from The Fresh Market to heat up for dinner, but this recipe looks really easy and even more delicious, so I might try that another night.

How was your week? What brought you joy?
