How we got here

I learned how to play mahjong summer of 2025 and immediately fell in love with the game. The opportunity to put away your phone, focus in on a challenging game, and compete with friends is irresistible. And the aesthetics of it all! I love seeing different combinations of colorful mats, racks, and tiles, and feeling and hearing that satisfying clink of tiles hitting the rack (drool).

I started shopping for a tile set of my own but didn’t see anything exactly like what I envisioned. So I started researching custom sets and before I knew I was getting myself into, I designed and ordered a sample set of the Emerald Coast themed mahjong tile set of my dreams. I shared it with friends and online and discovered that a lot of y’all like it too! (Here’s my video tour of each tile if you’d like to get a closer look.)

As of this writing, I’ve got two big orders of tiles being manufactured and I’m working on all the fun stuff that goes into launching a new product - bag design, inserts, dice, mats, packaging, etc. They are expected to be complete early this summer (fingers crossed) so assuming everything goes as scheduled, we will be playing with them soon!

FAQs

  • I am planning a launch party for locals so that folks who live here (or close) can come get a set in person. I’m envisioning an open play day with some door prizes and other fun stuff. I’ll keep y’all updated as plans evolve! After that, tile sets and mats will be available for purchase on my website. My newsletter subscribers (sign up here!) will get the link to purchase before Instagram. If they sell out, we will order more!

  • Still waiting on some costs on the back end so I haven’t set a firm price yet, but tiles and mat prices will be in line with other high end mahjong sets (Bespoke Mahjong, The Mahjong Line, etc). I’ll be selling tiles and mats separately to help people with their budget (if they can only afford one).

  • I am going to allow a limited number of boutiques to stock them. Please fill out this application if you’d like to be considered.

  • I have a few other ideas in the works! (perhaps something holly jolly?? 👀) If there’s a theme you’d love to see that you haven’t seen anywhere else, please email me and maybe we can make it happen!

  • I am so excited to share that I have some special racks in the works that go perfectly with a beachy mahjong set. I am planning on offering a bundle at a discounted price, which would include tiles, mat, and racks. Stay tuned!
